Thinking Folly

What one thing do all successful people have in common?
What one thing separates those who go to the top from those who never seem to get there?
The answer: Good Thinking!

Those who embrace good thinking as a lifestyle understand the relationship between their level of thinking and their level of progress. They also realize that to change their lives, they must change their thinking.

Thinking is a process of using our brain to interpret something that we doesn’t know it well. Sometimes thinking process starts out with knowledge. All thinking starts with knowledge, whether a little bit or a good understanding of your thinking issues.

Individuals have their own way of thinking therefore different person may come out with different interpretation.

Based on my readings from the article ‘The Power of Now’ by Eckhart Tolle, he had also think the same as for him, he had found the most fundamental truth when he made his famous statement which is “ I think, therefore I am”.It is true that thinking creates an opaque screen of concepts, labels, images, words, judgments, and definitions however for me it doesn’t blocks true relationship as the author said though it is hard for people to understand ones stand.

We've all had recourse to say: "My head tells me to do one thing, but my heart says do the other." Sometimes we are forced to make a decision but we feel ourselves to be pulled in opposite directions by reason and emotion. That is also the same as always happened to me as well.

I’m agreed as Eckhart Tolle said that “it is not much as you use your mind wrongly-you usually don’t use it at all. It uses you”. As for me, I also usually believe that I am my mind but is only the delusion. The instrument are taking me over as the author also believe that “you are unconsciously identified with it, so you don’t even know that you are its slave . Its almost as if you are being possessed without knowing it, and you take the possessing entity to be yourself." That is all that I can understand based on my thinking as a thinker about this thinking topic.

'To do well in life, we must first think well.'

The Degree of Happiness

Life will be more meaningful if we live our life happily. Happiness is not only cheer our life but also it may affect our health.

Happiness is a mental state of well-being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. A happy person will have possibility to have a good health and longevity.

As I read on the article ‘The Degree of Happiness’ by Betrand Russell. What can I understand is they are two sort of of happiness. The first is open to any human being and the other only to  those who can read or write.

Example that had been given by the author gives us a view that we can be happy on whatever we do as it will not gives us a pressure but it will gives us a pleasure of doing it. As a human kind we are no exception of having a problem. However, a problem does not mean that we are having a time of losing our happiness. As well as been stated on the article that  the gardener are having a problem with rabbits that destroy his garden, but he speaks exactly as a policeman speak to a criminals and he consider them as dark, designing, and ferocious and like the knight of the round table he spent every day hunting his mortal foe.

Back day before, the happiest people are the men of science. This is because their work gives them self satisfaction as the public also can accept the fact even though they cannot understand it and conclude that their education has been insufficient. Different than artist and literary men consider it necessary to be unhappy in their life such as in marriage. The reason is when the public cannot understand a picture or a poem, they will conclude it as a bad picture or poem.

As my understanding, we should not think or care on any obstacles for us for having our own happiness. It is our freedom to do whatever we need in order to feel happy as long it is not over the limit.
